Hello Partner

Welcome to the latest edition of our monthly Newsletter! We are excited to share some new excitements from us and our Country Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.

What a month it has been for us down here!

OUR CONCLUDED INTERNATIONAL AGENT FAM TRIP 11th NOVEMBER 2023

Our end of year FamTrip  was a complete success! We missed having you on-board and only hope you will come along next time. We will be sure to share our next FAM dates with you, so you can plan in advance.

Amazing!

As we write this we are still reminiscing about the wonderful memories including our ‘dreaded’ visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. With the previous unfortunate incident, we were to say the least on the edge but our insecurities were soon put to rest with the strong presence of security forces inside and around the park.

NATIVE EXPEDITIONS SUPPORTS LOCAL CLINIC IN KIHIHI – ISHASHA

Fred’s story is amazing and what a great way for us to give back and support the local communities around the park. Here is a little brief about what’s going on in Ishasha at the local medical centre we support. Ishasha community medical centre is a private, not–for profit that was founded by Fred and his wife Nurse Nahurira Aria in 2019.

The main reason for starting this clinic was to get medical service more accessible to community members especially pregnant mothers, young children and refugees from Congo. You are welcome to make direct donation or partner with us as we improve the lives of this community

NEW LUXURY LODGE IN KIBALE FOREST: KIBALE LODGE BY VOLCANOES

Come May 2024, a new luxury Lodge is set to open in Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Lodge by Volcanoes will be perfectly positioned for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park in Uganda. Kibale Lodge will comprise eight deluxe rooms and a villa, plus a spa, sauna and pool.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A GORILLA TREK!

If there is anything we need to emphasis a bit more for your lovely guests coming down here is the right preparation for the gorilla trek! What the guest packs has a lot to do with how the overall gorilla experience will turn out. Let’s start with the shoes: nice and comfy and preferably water proof. Gaiters, long soft socks enough to reach just above the ankles.

Long light water proof trousers, a long sleeved soft and light T-shirt and a light rain jacket. Hand gloves: soft but waterproof. Not all sweet smelling insect repellent sprays and creams repel insectsJ, so a neutral smelling repellent is much better.

Do remember about the backpack and finally, please start to exercise your muscles a bit in advance. Most rainy months in Uganda are April and May and then November but it can pour any time of day.

                                    TRAVEL INSPIRATION

Thinking of what you can offer your clients who don’t have so much time and yet wish to see it all? This 9 days’ tour would be a perfect fit.

Gaze into the eyes of the gorillas, walk with the chimpanzees, enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Kazinga channel and finally walk side by side with the giraffes in Lake Mburo on a guided bush walk. T ravel like a native !
